Built during the 15th century, we know that it already existed in 1522 – which was written by our famous historian Gaspar Frutuoso in his chronicles “Saudades da Terra”. It was rebuilt during the 17th and 18th century, it is of a religious architecture and is the only Micaelense church dedicated to the Holy Spirit.
